A normal price monitor Chrome extension fetches a URL and diffs the page. That works for a public product listing and falls apart the moment the number lives behind a login, a filter or two clicks of navigation — which is where most numbers worth watching actually live.
Replayo approaches it from the other end. It records the route to the number, then replays that route on a schedule and emails you whatever the value is at the end of it.

How to set up a monitor
- Start on the page where the journey begins and press Record.
- Click through to the number — log in if needed, set the filters, open the tab.
- Pick the element to capture. While recording, point at the value you care about; Replayo marks it as the thing to read on every run.
- Stop recording. The macro runs immediately and your first email arrives.
- Schedule it — every 30 minutes, hourly, or daily at a set time.
From then on the number comes to you. You stop opening the page to check something that was almost always unchanged.

How the email part works
Capture-by-email is the one part of Replayo that is not purely local, and it is worth being exact about it. When a macro includes a capture step, the text it reads from the page is sent to Replayo's server for the sole purpose of emailing it to your own signed-in address — which is why the email feature requires signing in, while plain recording and replay do not. Nothing else about the page is transmitted, and your macros themselves stay in local extension storage. The privacy policy spells this out in full.
Practical notes
- Your browser needs to be running for a scheduled run to fire — macros run locally, not in a cloud.
- Pick a stable element. A number in a fixed panel replays more reliably than one in a list that re-orders.
- Match the interval to the change rate. A daily 9:00 run beats a 30-minute one for a number that moves weekly.
- Sites you do not control can change. If a monitored page is redesigned, re-record the macro.
Frequently asked questions
Can Replayo monitor a page behind a login?
Yes. Macros replay inside your own Chrome session, so if you are signed in, the macro reaches the same pages you do. It can also record the login steps themselves, though staying signed in is usually simpler and safer.
How often can it check?
Every 30 minutes, hourly, or daily at a time you choose. Scheduled runs happen in your browser, so it needs to be running when the schedule fires.
Does it email me only when the value changes?
Replayo emails you the captured value on every run, so you always have the current number and a history in your inbox.
Is the captured value private?
The captured text is sent to Replayo's server only to email it to your own signed-in address, and is not used for anything else. Your macros, recordings and schedules stay in local browser storage.
